Vocal settings usually mean adjusting the two middle bands, since that's where vocal fundamentals and presence both live.
For more presence, +3dB at 2.5kHz. For a fuller, warmer vocal, +2dB at 500Hz. If vocals sound harsh or sibilant rather than weak, try a cut instead of a boost — -2 to -3dB around 2.5kHz often smooths that out.
Use the Mid-Band Width control alongside these settings: Narrow makes the 2.5kHz boost more surgical and less likely to affect surrounding instruments, while Wide spreads the same boost more broadly for a smoother, more musical result.
