Bass boost, done well, adds weight and warmth without swallowing everything else in the mix.
A 3–6dB boost at 60Hz is usually enough to feel noticeably fuller. Beyond that, watch for the low end starting to sound loose or boomy rather than punchy — that's the point to pull back, not push further.
Boosting bass hard is one of the fastest ways to push a signal into clipping, especially on already-loud tracks. Keeping the built-in Limiter switched on catches those peaks automatically so a strong bass boost doesn't turn into audible distortion.
